Green Pastures is a collection of thirteen English Songs composed by Rev. Dr. Anto Amarnad CMI. When there were no hymns that suite for the celebration of Syro Malabar Church, Fr. Amarnad took pain to compose the English hymns given in the Missal of Syro Malabar Eucharistic celebration. He took more than six months praying and awaiting for Spirit's special touch and assistance to compose these hymns for the Church. And finally they all came with the profound impact of the Holy Spirit to elevate the souls of all who would sing or listen to these divine melodies. The Green Pasture contains twelve songs from the Solmn Mass songs and the thirteenth one is that which appeared in the Documentary film on Blessed Chavara- The footprints of a Saint. God leads us to the Green Pastures so that we may nourish in his life.
