Chavara Bhavan, Khairi

When our Fathers started to reside in Saccidananda Ashram, there was a pressing request from the local people to avail quality education in the town of Narsinghpur. The then Provincial Fr. Anto Karokaran entrusted the Councillors Fr. Jose Pariyadan and Fr. Dominic Nattunilath the task of identifying a suitable land for a school. Their incessant search resulted in the buying of 17.5 acres of land in February 1993. The succeeding Provincial, Fr. John Kallan laid the foundation stone of the building on January 2,1995 and the school was named Chavara Vidyapeeth. The construction was initiated by late Fr. Jose Varghese Chereath. Later the school was shifted from the rented building to the present premises. The CMC Sisters of Bina Province have been collaborating with the community from the beginning onwards. The school was affiliated to CBSE in 2005. The motto of the school is “Search for Wholeness”. The emblem depicting a “Vibrant Tree” symbolizes Enlightenment, Integration and Unity. The “Embedded Cross” signifies hard work and sacrifice needed to achieve the goals. With a strength of over three thousand students on the roll, Chavara Vidyapeeth stands as the first and the best choice of the people of Narsinghpur.
