Christ Home, Guna

In 1979 we purchased a plot of land in Guna and at the request of the people, started an English medium school in 1980, which is the first school of the Province in MP. It became a full fledged Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE Delhi in 1994. Later a monastery was constructed and it was formally declared a Canonical House in 1983. Even before our arrival in Guna, we were taking care of the pastoral needs of the catholic community there, by coming from either Bina or Ashoknagar. The foundation stone for the church was laid by Rt. Rev. Dr. Clemens Thottungal Bishop (Emeritus) of Sagar on September 17, 1990. The church was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Pastor Neelankavil, the then Bishop on March 1, 1993. We are entrusted with Christ the King Parish Guna and we are also taking care of the spiritual needs of Vandana Convent and DDP Convent Guna. The school got composite CBSE affiliation in 1994 at the instance of Shri Digvijay Singh the then Chief Minister of M.P. The school celebrated Silver Jubilee on December 4, 2004 in a glittering function presided over by, then M.P of Guna, Mr. Jyothiraditya Scindia and the foundation stone for the Jubilee and Bicentenary Block was laid. The school was revamped and all the pending civil as well as criminal cases were settled and disposed off by 2005 through the initiative of Fr. Sebi Edattukaran, the then Principal. The school was given a face lift by constructing a separate building for Kindergarten in the year 2012. A new Administrative Block was constructed in 2018 and it was blessed by Fr. Justin Akkara, the Provincial on August 11, 2018.
